Delivery and Returns

                    All orders placed after 3pm will be processed the next working day.

Delivery Options

Royal Mail

  1. Royal Mail 2nd Class - £2.99 excluding VAT. Most deliveries arrive within 3 working days. This is a no signature service and you must wait 15 days before approaching us for a claim for a non-delivery. There is limited compensation for lost or damaged goods.
  2. Royal Mail 1st class - £4.99 excluding VAT for 1st class dispatch. This is not a guaranteed next working day service, but 96% of deliveries are next working day. This can be tracked but it is not insured. You must wait 10 days to approach us to claim against a non-delivery, we will then approach the Royal Mail to lodge a claim.
  3. Royal Mail 1st tracked - £5.99 excluding VAT for 1st class dispatch. This is a 2-3 day service, but 96% of deliveries are next working day. This can be tracked online and is insured*.
  4. Royal Mail Special Delivery - £8.49 excluding VAT for a guaranteed next working day by 1pm service to 99% of the UK. This can be tracked online, with electronic POD and is insured up to £2,500*. Please note when using this service on a Friday for a Saturday delivery that orders need to be with us by 3pm.

Royal Mail will ship to any BFPO address. The maximum weight is 2kg and we will deliver to the British Forces sorting centre in line with the shopping option selected on the order. E.g. if you select Royal Mail next day it will be at their centre next day but then we don’t know how long they will take to ship to the final destination.

For the orders to process through our system successfully the address details must be as follows in the xml order:

Addresse: Must include rank and name

Postcode: Must be left blank

Address line 1: Must always read HM forces before any other details

Address line 2: Unit/regiment/operation name etc (any other details)

Address line 3: Country

Town/City: BFPO number

ISO Country Code: This should always be GB regardless of where the parcel is going


  1. Inter Link next day delivery by 5pm - £6.08 excluding VAT. This service is not available in Ireland or the Channel Isles.
  2. Inter Link next day delivery by 12pm - £7.82 excluding VAT. This service is not available in Ireland or the Channel Isles.
  3. Interlink Saturday delivery - £13.90 excluding VAT. This service is not available in Ireland or the Channel Isles.
  4. Inter Link 2 day service to Northern Ireland - £15.00 excluding VAT
  5. Interlink 2 day service to Republic of Ireland - £7.99 excluding VAT
  6. Inter Link 2 day service to the Channel Islands - £13.50 excluding VAT

Returning costumes

You can return unworn and unwashed costumes to us within 7 days of receiving your order. Our costumes are sold in resealable packaging, which allows you to check suitability. When making a return all items must be returned in their original condition together with their original packaging.

We will not refund

We do not refund any items that have been worn, washed or soiled. We inspect all items on their return for usage, damage and resale ability. Additionally for hygienic reasons we do not accept returns on the following items: makeup, eyelashes, tights, stockings, underwear, wigs, contact lenses and masks. Some costumes have sealed wigs if this is the case and the costume is not appropriate please do not open the wig, as once it has been opened a refund cannot be provided.

Please note that in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) we will not refund the customers cost of postage to return a product back to us, unless that product has proven to be faulty.

Instructions for returning merchandise

Before sending a parcel back for a refund you will need to contact us via phone on 0161 928 0934 to check that your item is eligible for a refund and to let us know you will be sending the item back. You will also need to have the following details available when you telephone:

  1. Your name, order number and postcode
  2. The reason for the return of the goods

Please return the goods to: Funky Fever Fancy Dress, 31 Oakfield Street, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA15 8HQ.

Responsibility of goods

Any returned goods are the responsibility of the customer until receipt at our return address and all costs of returns are at the customer’s expense. We strongly recommend that goods are returned via Royal Mails ‘Recorded Delivery’ service to guarantee signed proof of return. The Royal Mails ‘Special Delivery’ service may be a preferred service for more valuable items.

Refund time scale

We endeavour to refund within one week of goods being received by us and promise that all eligible refunds will be made within 30 calendar days from receipt at our return address. We will not be held responsible or liable for any interest payment incurred from refunds being made subsequent to your credit or debit cards payment due date.
